PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) was founded in 1976 by world-renowned coach Dennis Van der Meer. Recognizing that the sport was held back by a lack of connection and a universal teaching language, he created the world's largest association of tennis coaches.
Today, PTR and its partners PPR (Pickleball) and PCR (Padel) serve more than 13,000 members in 125 countries, setting the international standard for coaching certification.
